«The Letter of Peace is a precious contribution to the framing of a conscience of human destiny, not only because of its purpose and intention, but also because of its bases. It is a call to substitute evidence for conjectures and ideologies. What better evidence could our reason admit than that of our ontological solidarity as existing beings?. The "Existencial Realism" on wich the Letter is based expresses the human astonishment before the mystery of life, which is always endowed by somebody else, and which is left to human freedom in order to continue its pilgrimage. Peace is, from this point of view, simple and humble acceptance of life. Thank you for having taught us this.»
